the original track was recorded in 1983 as part of the "All the Colors of Love" sessions with Jim Mossman and the Rainbow Family. Additional vocals, bass, and piano added 25 years later, after computers could handle digital music.. Lyric inspired by the The Little Prince novel, for which I wrote a 5 song cycle.
lyrics
Somewhere among the stars
A flower waits for me
She said she didn't care
But I left her all alone and I never said how much I cared
Somehow I will return
To where my flower lies
To each his own is true
But I left her on her own and I never said how much I cared.
Someday the stars will shine
Brighter because you're mine
And I will never go
But I left her all alone and I never said how much I cared.
